The flag of the Philippines, the Filipino Flag, is blue, white, and red; the flag also has a picture of a sun on it with 3 stars surrounding it. There is a white triangle where the sun and stars are positioned and a blue and red stripe to the right of this. 

The idea of making the official Filipino Flag for the Philippines was thought of during the second phase of the Philippine Revolution against Spain. 

General Emilio Aguinaldo ended up making the Filipino Flag and was made within 5 days by Mrs. Agoncillo (Wife of Emilio) prior to the last boarded the American dispatch boat back to America. 

General Emilio Aguinaldo hoisted the national Filipino Flag as evidence of victory and revolution against the country of Spain after battle. 

For the first time, the official Filipino Flag was brought from Hong Kong on June 12th, 1898 and had been hoisted for the very first time at the historic window of the Aguinaldo Mansion in Kawit, Cavite as the country's liberty had been proclaimed prior to the Filipino individuals.

7. Utilize the flag in any advertisement or infomercial.
8. Display the flag before of structures or offices not occupied by Filipino citizens.

On March 25, 1936, President Manuel Quezon issued Executive Order #23 describing the details, symbolism, and actuality of the Filipino Flag.

1. The white triangle alongside the colors of blue and red is symbolic of equality amidst men.
2. The sunshine represents the gigantic strides and the progress to civilization.
3. The eight rays of the sunshine within the white triangle express the first eight united provinces that revolted for Philippine independence.
4. The 3 stars inside the triangle stand for the 3 significant geographical sections of the country - Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
5. The red field of color on the flag symbolizes the willingness of the Filipino individuals to lose blood in protection of their nation.
6. The blue field of color on the flag stands for common unity and the noble aspirations of the Filipino people.
7. The white field of color on the Filipino Flag represents purity among the Filipino people.
